Toyota needs to offer a sporty high-performance Yaris over here, and a sunroof would be nice, too

Or a high performance anything really. I would love a hot Corolla IM. They have the 86 but I need more practical than that (the ability to move comfortably move 4 adults for starters).

They have so many problems with their lineup that can be solved by taking a powertrain out of a Camry, Highlander or Lexus LS, and putting it in something else, really.
Lack of a hot iM (or Corolla sedan if that’s how you roll)? Put an A25A-FKS out of a Camry in, it’s good for 203-206 hp. (Hopefully there’s a manual that can work with it.)
C-HR is underpowered for the US market? A25A-FKS time. Or, even, A25A-FXS, without the hybrid system, to keep it below the RAV4 if that’s your concern.
Lack of straight-line performance in the Prius? Put an A25A-FXS and the P710 out of a Camry Hybrid in, 208 hp. (Maybe a bit less due to the smaller battery, but still.) The chassis can handle it.
Lack of a hybrid minivan? Put the 2GR-FXS and the P313 out of the Highlander in the Sienna.
Lack of an efficient pickup? Put the 8GR-FXS and L310 out of the Lexus LS (or LC) 500h in the Tundra. Hell, put it in the Tacoma, too.
